Next Best Arrangement To An Intact Family

Bauserman (2002) has provided a compilation of 33 studies that document children in joint physical custody arrangements have fewer behavioural and emotional problems, have higher self esteem, better family relations and school performance than children in sole custody situations. The findings of this large scale analysis also note that joint physical custody children were as well adjusted as children in intact families on the same measures
